Weekend Artist: Learn, Explore and Create!

paintingMix a little art history into your art making every weekend. When you come in to make art on the weekends, you will have the opportunity to learn and be inspired by a featured artists. As you choose your project, whether it be painting pottery, mosaics, painting boards, or clay, a featurted artist biography, books and other resources will be available to inspire your project.

You can choose to work in the style of the artist by painting or drawing, or recreate one of their works of art on a piece of pottery, or sculpt and 3-dimensional sculpture based on the artist's subject matter. The possibilities for project ideas are endless. This is a great family project where you all can take different approaches to making art inspired by the same artist.

You can come back every weekend and work in the same medium but be inspired by a different artist, or experiment with different media. This is an awesome way to tap into your creative energy.

Each Saturday, discover a new artist, a new art, a new love. Be free, have fun and make art!
